Chakda’ Express!: Anushka Sharma is leaving no stones unturned for her Jhulan Gowami biopic. The actor is all set as she recently started the final schedule of Chakda ‘Express!’ in Mumbai. Anushka is playing the role of cricketer Jhulan Goswami in this movie. The actor underwent rigorous training and even practiced at Lord’s Cricket Ground in London. A senior trade source revealed, “Yes, it’s true that Anushka Chakda has started shooting for the final schedule of ‘Express!’ She is non-stop shooting for Chakda ‘Express!’ We all know that she always tries to be a perfectionist for the past few months and she left no stone unturned for this film. Anushka prepared for months to get into the skin of the famous fast bowler. She now has a tight schedule in Mumbai.
Chakda ‘Express! Based on Jhulan Goswami’s Cricket Journey
Based on the life and times of Jhulan, one of the fastest female pacers in the history of world cricket, the Netflix film shows how the pacer moves up the ladder despite countless obstacles to fulfill her one and only dream: playing cricket. Jhulan went on to captain the Indian women’s national cricket team and is a role model for aspiring cricketers in the country. An Indian postage stamp was released in her honor in 2018. Jhulan holds the world record for taking the most wickets in an international career by a woman.
Anushka has about three Rs. 300 crore plus films – Sultan, PK and Sanju – under her belt. The actor plans to make this project the biggest tribute to a female sports icon in our country.
